Work Plan in 2024
Objective：Expand RISTA’s influence and establish Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) as the pivotal air interface technology for 6G.
Building upon our robust foundation, foster innovation and execute a range of diversified activities.
Thoroughly investigate the fundamental facilitative role of RIS in the six major scenarios outlined by ITU for 6G.
Endeavor to position RIS as the paramount air interface technology in the 6G era.
The 3rd RIS TECH FORUM
‘RIS TECH FORUM’ is RISTA’s flagship annual event. We will bring together the strength and wisdom of all members to host the third RIS TECH Forum, collectively advancing technological development.
RISTA Cutting-edge Forum Ⅲ
RISTA Cutting-edge Forum, an online flagship event of RIS TECH Alliance, has successfully completed two seasons. The eagerly anticipated third season is slated to commence in early April 2024. We eagerly await the active participation and insightful contributions of experts and scholars. All experts and scholars are encouraged to proactively recommend themselves or others.
Symposium
In 2024, working groups of RISTA will conduct discussions on pivotal topics such as RIS system technology, near-field cascade channel modeling, RIS deployment in industrial scenarios, industry collaboration, and standardization. The goal is to deepen technical exchanges and cooperation, collectively advancing the RIS industry to new heights.
The 2nd National RIS Innovation Application Competition
The 2nd National RIS Innovation Application Competition will be hosted by Xidian University. We anticipate the active participation of more companies & universities to invigorate technological innovation in RIS and unlock its application potential.
Exploration of New Activities
In 2024, to enhance RISTA’s vitality, we will explore novel activity formats such as the Young Scientists Forum, the Emerging Scholars Forum, and industrial ecosystem cooperation, aiming to build a broader communication platform.
In 2025, a pivotal moment for the standardization of 6G awaits us, with 2024 being a crucial period for technological development. Leveraging its accumulated experience, the RIS TECH Alliance (RISTA) will host a series of high-quality activities, continuously expanding its influence, consolidating industry consensus, and propelling RIS technology to become the core force in air interface technology for the 6G era.
