Reshaping 6G: From Channel to Content

The evolution toward 6G marks a paradigm shift in the field of communications, where the core focus has moved beyond the mere transmission of bits toward a deep convergence of communication, sensing, computing, and intelligence. To realize this vision, a full-stack reinvention is needed: channel models must accurately characterize specific propagation environments, air interface transmission must be intelligently adaptive, and content delivery must emphasize semantics rather than raw data alone. In this talk, we will present our research progress towards reshaping 6G from channel to content. First, we will introduce an AI-enabled channel modeling method GeNeRT and the low-altitude multimodal wireless dataset LAMBDA, which together establish a digital twin foundation for channel modeling. Second, we will present AirFM-DDA, a wireless-native foundation model operating in the delay-Doppler-angle domain. Finally, focusing on the new paradigm of content delivery that goes beyond bits, we will discuss digital semantic coding and generative semantic communication.
