Dr. Wu is currently a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is mainly engaged in research on secure, ultra-reliable and low latency communications. He has published more than 100 papers in IEEE journals, and many papers have been selected as ESI hot spots and highly cited papers,and received best paper awards of IEEE ICC. He has won honors and awards such as First Prize of Natural Science of China Institute of Communications (Ranked 1),National Natural Science Foundation of China Outstanding Youth Fund, IEEE Communications Society Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Research Scholar Award, Second prize for Huawei's Technology Achievements Transformation Award, Elsevier's Highly Cited Chinese Researchers, "Lifetime Scientific Influence List" of the top 2% of the world's top scientists. He is currently an IEEE Senior Member and an editor of IEEE Transaction on Information Theory/Wireless Communication,National Science Review and was editors of IEEE Transactions on Communications, and IEEE Communications Letters. As a Lead Guest Editor, he organized several special issues on IEEE JSAC, IEEE Wireless Communications and IEEE JSTSP. At the same time, he has served as chairman and member of the technical committees of internationally renowned conferences such as IEEE ICC, Globecom, and VTC for many times. Currently, he is the director of the China Institute of Communications, deputy leader of the IMT-2030 (6G) New Generation Multiple Access Technology Task Group, a specially appointed expert of the Shanghai 6G New Communications Expert Committee, and presides multiple projects over the National Natural Science Foundation, national key research and development sub-topics, and scientific research at Huawei, ZTE, China SatNet, etc.
